The Story
We designed these low profile weld on shock mounts specifically for the XJ, but they are universal enough to be used on just about anything. A common problem when doing an SYE in conjunction with a suspension lift is that the rear pinion needs to be rotated upwards, and with the stock shock mounts you end up with one shock being compressed more than the other. Until now the best option was to custom make new mounts, as all the commonly available brackets place the shock mount much too high and leave you with either very short shocks, or no up travel.Â
These mounts are higher than the stock location for ground clearance, but not so much that you are sacrificing the ability to use a long travel shock. The bolt hole measures 2.25" below the axle centerline. Sold as a pair.Â
